Playback streams are now available for on demand viewing.
Playback rooms have the option to publish recordings of their streams as Replays for viewers to watch on demand. Replays can be shared publicly with all room visitors or privately for select audiences. Replays will help Playback creators expand the viewership of their streams and give viewers the convenience to watch on their own schedule.
Live interaction is the foundation of Playback, but we record every stream so that creators can use video to grow their community. We recently launched live clipping to help Playback rooms capture short moments from their streams to publish to social channels. We make stream recordings available to room creators in various formats so that the components are easy to edit into custom clips. Now with Replays, creators can automatically publish every stream as a video on Playback, or choose individual streams to publish.
Viewers will now see a Replay section of the room profile, where they can find all Replays the room has published. Rooms can choose to leave Replays unlisted so they do not appear on the room profile but are sharable with a link.
Note: In the first iteration of Replays, rooms will not be able to publish recordings that included an NBA broadcast. We will be adding support for Replays with NBA broadcasts soon.
