Hey Playback fam! We're excited to announce our first commerce feature. Introducing Power Chats! Power Chats give community members the ability to make messages stand out while supporting their favorite Playback streamers financially.

Here's how it works:

1. During a live stream, room members can click the Power Chat button and select an amount of money to contribute 💰

2. They can write a message to go along with their Power Chat 📝

3. The message gets highlighted in the chat with special visual distinction based on the amount contributed 🎨

4. Creators get paid for Power Chats received in their room 💸

For streamers, Power Chats open up a new direct revenue stream from your community. It's a way to monetize streams beyond sponsorships and the Playback creator fund. The volume of chat messages can be overwhelming, so it's helpful to have a way to identify important messages from top supporters.

For community members, Power Chats provide a direct line to the streamers they love. It's a chance to cut through the noise, give a special shout-out and earn recognition. Plus, Power Chats are a tangible way to support your favorite streamers and help them continue to grow.

For room members eager to try out Power Chats, just update to the latest version of the Playback app. The Power Chat option will appear in the chat during live streams in rooms with access to the feature. Pick an amount, write a message, and send away! Your chat will be the talk of the stream.
